What is the difference between a load cell and a pressure sensor?

Time:2022/7/1 Hits: 1821

In a word: weighing sensor is a kind of pressure sensor, which is only suitable for making electronic scales; Pressure sensor generally refers to the sensor that can measure air pressure or liquid level.

Differences in principle and application:

According to the conversion method, the weighing sensors are divided into eight categories: photoelectric, hydraulic, electromagnetic, capacitive, magnetic pole changing, vibrating, gyro ritual, and resistance strain type, of which the resistance strain type is the most widely used. Many factors should be considered when selecting weighing sensors. In actual use, we mainly consider the following factors. In addition, the sensitivity, maximum division number and minimum verification division value of the weighing sensor are also the indicators that must be considered in the selection of the sensor.

Pressure sensor is the most commonly used sensor in industrial practice. The output of ordinary pressure sensor is analog signal. Analog signal refers to the continuous signal of information parameters in a given range or the signal of any value in a continuous time interval, which represents the characteristic quantity of information at any instant. The pressure sensor we usually use is mainly made of piezoelectric effect.
